How to clear Internet Explorer browsing history
• Select 'Tools' and then 'Delete Browsing History'.
• Click 'Delete all', and then click 'Yes'.
In Internet Explorer even if you clear history entries manually, index.dat file store information which can show where you have been online. Index.dat files can't be deleted manually as they are used by Windows all the time. Using Clear All History you can easily delete index.dat files
How to clear specific category of browsing history
• Select 'Tools' and then 'Delete Browsing History'.
• Click 'Delete button' next to the information you want to delete, and then click 'Yes'.
Clear search history in Internet Explorer 7.0:
• Select "Tools"
• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• In "Delete browsing history" window click "Delete forms" button and then click "Yes".
• Click Close and then click OK.

• Select "Tools"

• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button.
• Click the "Clear forms" button to erase search history.

• Select "Internet Options".
• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• To delete list of web sites you have visited (delete Address bar history), click "Delete history" and then click Yes.
• Click Close and then click OK.

• Go to Tools and select Internet Options.
• Open "General tab", click "Clear history".
• Click "OK".

• Open the General tab.
• In the "Temporary Internet files" area click the "Delete Files" button.
• Click OK in the "Delete Files" dialog box to delete Temporary Internet Files.

• Open the "General" tab.
• In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
• In "Delete browsing history" window click "Delete cookies" button and then click "Yes".
• Click Close and then click OK.
To clear cookies in Internet Explorer 6.x:
• Select "Tools"

• Open the "General" tab.
• Click the "Delete cookies" button.
